Gr9 alloy is a α titanium alloy with a nominal composition of Ti-3Al-2.5V, which is developed for cold workable pipe applications. At room temperature and high temperature, its strength is 20% ~ 50% higher than pure titanium, and its welding performance and cold forming performance are better than TC4 alloy. Gr9 alloy is generally used in the annealing state, can also be used in the cold work and stress relief annealing state, the maximum operating temperature of about 315℃.
Gr9 titanium seamless tubing is suitable for aircraft and engine hydraulic and fuel piping systems and has been used in a variety of military and civil aircraft and aerospace applications.
